GREENGUARD

GREENGUARD Environmental Institute certifies products and materials through a nine-step process for low chemical emissions, including VOCs.

GREENGUARD Gold

GREENGUARD Gold is awarded to low or non-existent chemical emission items. These items are screened against 10,000 chemicals and VOCs and are safe for sensitive individuals.

Phthalates Free

Phthalates disrupt the body's hormones and some are known carcinogens. The chemicals from baby gear and wallpaper can be ingested, inhaled or absorbed.

Low VOC

VOCs (Volatile organic compounds) are chemicals from specific solids or liquids (like wax, paints and varnishes) that can be emitted as gas. It has been proven that this easily inhaled chemical may lead to cancer, liver, and kidney diseases.

No PFAS

PFAS-free baby products do not contain poly-fluorinated alkyl substances which are a group of around 4,700 industrial chemicals that can be found everywhere around us.

FAQs About MIXX next Stroller

No, it’s a full-size stroller with a compact fold. Folded, it measures 27.5 by 23.6 by 19 inches, so measure your trunk first. It weighs 28.3 lb without the armbar and seat insert, but it stands on its own and rolls, so you tow it instead of hugging it to your chest. Flying? The frame and stroller seat fit in the Nuna Wheeled Travel Bag (sold separately). For a trip-first stroller, see our comparison of Nuna’s travel strollers, the TRVL, TRVL lx and VIAA cabn.

No, the MIXX next carries one child at a time. There’s no sibling seat or rider board (a board an older child stands on to ride along) made for it. Skip third-party rider boards too: add-ons Nuna hasn’t approved can damage it or make it unsafe. If your toddler’s about to be promoted to big sibling, the Nuna DEMI Next comes with a rider board and turns into a double with the Nuna DEMI Next Sibling Seat (sold separately).

Yes, it reclines true-flat, so it works from birth. It’s the newborn pick in our Nuna stroller comparison. To use it flat, remove the front armbar, lift the leg rest up to close off the front, and snap the leg rest’s fabric flaps inside the seat so a baby can’t slip into the leg openings and get trapped. Stop using that closed-in setup once your baby can push up on hands and knees. From that newborn setup, the same seat lasts until 50 lb or 45 inches, whichever comes first.

Every Nuna PIPA series infant car seat (sold separately) clicks on in one push. The ring adapter that holds your PIPA is in the box, so there’s nothing extra to order. The adapter goes where the stroller seat usually sits, and your PIPA can face you or face out. Other brands’ infant car seats aren’t approved on the MIXX next. Buying both at once? The MIXX Next Stroller + PIPA Series Travel System lets you pick your PIPA.

The MIXX series bassinet clicks right on, no adapter needed. It comes as the Nuna MIXX Series Bassinet + Stand (sold separately), so it doubles as a bedside bassinet at home. On the stroller frame, it can face you or face out. Stop using it at 20 lb, once your baby is over 27 inches, or once your baby starts pushing up on hands and knees, whichever comes first.
