Sustainably Made

Sustainability comes in many forms, from ethical labor practices that give back to the surrounding community, to environmental protection - like zero-waste manufacturing or planting trees for each product sold.

Low VOC

VOCs (Volatile organic compounds) are chemicals from specific solids or liquids (like wax, paints and varnishes) that can be emitted as gas. It has been proven that this easily inhaled chemical may lead to cancer, liver, and kidney diseases.

Fire Retardant Free

Fire retardants are chemicals that are often sprayed onto car seats and baby products to make them fire resistant. But, these poisonous chemicals are known to cause hormone disruption, neurological damage and even cancer.

Handmade

Handmade products are made with love, they are unique, and created– just for you! Crafty people can create pretty much anything and adjust it to your needs and preferences.

Building a cozy atmosphere starts from the ground! The Lorena Canals Tartan Washable Rug brings a warm and cozy style into your little one's nursery, playroom, or bedroom. Not only a rug, but a space to play with their favorite toys, build castles with blocks, and create childhood memories. The Lorena Canals Tartan Washable Rug is lovingly handmade by skilled artisans using high-quality materials and non-toxic dyes, making it the perfect foundation for little feet and hands ready to crawl into playtime.

Handcrafted by Lorena Canals' artisans in their own factory in India, using ancestral craft techniques
97% cotton, 3% other fibers
Hand-placed fringes
Non-toxic dyes
Machine washable, in a 20 lb or larger machine
Certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 (Lorena's management-system standards for quality, workplace health and safety, and environmental practice.)

Dimensions: 4' 7" x 6' 3"

Weight: 4.95 lb

Washing and care: (20 lb washing machine capacity or higher.) Wash it by itself on a gentle cycle at 86°F max, and skip the bleach and the fabric softener. Don't use a washing machine with a center agitator or centrifuge, which can damage the rug. Tumble dry low, and don't leave it sitting in the washer once the cycle ends. Between washes, run a low-powered vacuum over it regularly to counteract shedding, and keep robot vacuums and beater bars away from the pile. If you find a long thread, cut it with scissors and never pull it. Keep away from prolonged sun exposure.
