Nursery Furniture Sets

Measure your room before you shop, and plan for the space to air out before baby arrives.

The crib is your most important investment -- pair it with an organic mattress free from flame retardants and harmful chemicals. A dresser with a removable changing topper handles two jobs in one footprint, which matters in smaller rooms. A glider or rocker is for you as much as for baby. You'll spend a lot of hours in it. Storage and decor can come after the foundation is in place.

Order the big pieces by the end of your second trimester. Furniture can take weeks or even longer to arrive, depending on availability and its general size.  Notice the ship dates on our site when you select your nursery pieces and those will give you an idea of when the pieces are expected to ship out to you. More importantly, if you're painting or renovating, the room needs time to air out before baby arrives. Bedding, decor, and smaller items can wait until closer to the end.

A safe, certified sleep surface is the one true non-negotiable. Beyond that: a firm organic crib mattress free from flame retardants, formaldehyde, and heavy metals; a changing station within arm's reach of diapers and wipes; a comfortable glider or rocker; and a low-EMF baby monitor.  There is only one on the market we've found to actually be low-EMF so be careful of claims which aren't accurate. Dimmable lighting rounds out the list. Everything else is personal preference -- and something you'll figure out once you're actually home.

Let the wallpaper lead, then build around it. A mural or patterned wallpaper sets the tone for the whole room. From there, choose a rug, baby blanket, and decorative pillows that either pick up one of the colors or offer a complementary solid.
